How many primes are there?
There are infinite many primes. That had been already proved by Euclid in the third century BC.
Is there a formula for prime numbers?
Yes, there are.
A very wel known formula is n²+n+41 from Euler. It provides prime numbers from n=0 to n=39 without gap. For n greater than 39, n²+n+41 results in either a prime number or no prime number. I.e. every single result starting from n=40 must be checked with a prime number test procedure whether it is a prime number or not.
Are there FORMULAS THAT ALWAYS DELIVER PRIME NUMBERS?
Yes, see for this:
Are there FORMULAS THAT PROVIDE ALL THE PRIME NUMBERS?
